How we handle
your information.
This policy explains what At the Card Table (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects when you visit cardtablesf.com, what we do with it, and what rights you have. We’ve written it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email boxoffice@cardtablesf.com.
What we collect
We collect two kinds of information: what your browser sends us automatically when you visit, and what you provide directly when you take an action.
Automatically
When you load a page on this site, your browser sends standard technical information — IP address, device type, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and approximate location. We use third-party analytics tools to interpret this (see the Cookies & tracking section below).
From you, directly
- Newsletter signup: we collect your email address and the date you subscribed. The email goes through Brevo, our email marketing service.
- Ticket purchases: our ticketing partner Ticket Tailor (a separate company on its own site) collects your name, email, payment information, and order details. We don’t process or store payment data ourselves.
- Email contact: if you email boxoffice@cardtablesf.com, we receive whatever information you choose to share.
Cookies & tracking
We use the following third-party services that may set cookies or collect information about your visit:
- Google Analytics 4 — understanding how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel — measuring the performance of our Facebook and Instagram ads, and building audiences for future ads.
- Brevo — sending newsletter emails to subscribers.
- Ticket Tailor — processing ticket purchases. Your interaction with their site is governed by their privacy policy.
- YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode) — the trailer video. We use YouTube’s no-cookie domain, so YouTube doesn’t set tracking cookies until you actually press play.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, install an ad blocker, or use private browsing to limit what these tools see. We’ll still work, you’ll just be invisible to our analytics.
How we use your information
- To send newsletter updates about new show dates, ticket releases, and the occasional behind-the-scenes note. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- To analyze how the site performs and where to improve it.
- To run and optimize Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising for the show.
- To respond to inquiries you send us by email.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers listed above (each governed by their own privacy policy), or as required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of that information
- Opt out of marketing communications (every email has an unsubscribe link)
- Opt out of the “sale or sharing” of personal information — we don’t sell, but California residents have this right under the CCPA/CPRA regardless
- Withdraw your consent (EU/UK residents, under GDPR)
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, email boxoffice@cardtablesf.com. We respond within 30 days.
Children
Our show is for ages 13 and up, and our site is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, email us and we’ll delete it.
Data retention
We keep newsletter subscriber data until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained per the default settings of each provider (typically 14–26 months for Google Analytics, 90–180 days for Meta). Ticket purchase records are retained by Ticket Tailor according to their own policies and applicable tax law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices evolve, the law changes, or we add or remove tools. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced by newsletter where reasonable.
